Conference Hotels

We recommend securing your accommodation in Gothenburg as soon as possible.

ETC offers a limited contingent of pre-reserved rooms at a preferential rate. We encourage you to book your room without delay- you can see the hotel booking deadlines below.

Cancellation policy:
Free of charge 24 hours before arrival (18:00 day before arrival local time)
If not cancelled, 100% will be charged maximum 3 nights.

The guest cancel their booking until 18:00 local time on the day of arrival

Changes or cancellation made after 18:00 local time on the day of arrival , or if a no-show will result in a no-show or late cancellation fee.

The hotel reserves the right to charge for all nights included in such a booking.

Travel and Public Transport

By air

Gothenburg Landvetter Airport (GOT) is located about 20 km from the city centre and offers connections to destinations across Europe and beyond.

Airport transfer

The airport shuttle Flygbussarna departs directly outside the terminal. Travel time to central Gothenburg is approximately 25–30 minutes. The bus stops at Korsvägen and the Central Station and continues to Lindholmen.

Taxi and rental cars are available at the airport.

Frequent rail services connect Gothenburg with Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen.

Approximate travel times:

  • Stockholm: 3 hours
  • Copenhagen: 3.5 hours
  • Oslo: just under 4 hours

Trains from Copenhagen stop at Copenhagen Airport, making it convenient to fly there and continue by train.

Public Transport in Gothenburg

Gothenburg has an integrated public transport system including trams, buses and ferries.

Tickets can be purchased via the Västtrafik To Go app or at kiosks such as Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven.

A single ticket starts from approximately 37 SEK. Tickets must be purchased before boarding, or paid onboard by contactless card.

Nearest tram stop: Berzeliigatan (2–3 min walk)
Bus stop: Götaplatsen
Other options: Valand (5 min), Korsvägen (7 min, airport shuttle stop)

  • Backa Teater (Lindholmen)

Nearest stop: Lindholmen
Bus 16 from the city centre takes about 10–15 minutes.
Ferry to Lindholmspiren + 5 min walk is also an option.

  • Folkteatern Göteborg

Nearest stop: Järntorget
Major tram and bus hub located 1–2 minutes from the theatre.
