The COVID-19 pandemic has understandably and inevitably required many event and travel restrictions across Europe and the world. ETC sends its best wishes and solidarity to all our members, artists and colleagues who are affected. Below you can read our official statement, urging the EU and the national governments to proactively support the theatre sector and help ease the unavoidable financial impact of the pandemic.
We believe it is everyone’s responsibility to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and to protect the most vulnerable in society. Therefore, we are monitoring the situation carefully and, while we are working on our upcoming activities, including the ETC International Theatre Conference, the Young Europe Festival and the European Theatre Academy, we are also cancelling, planning possible digital offerings as replacement, or postponing activities, as necessary.
We appreciate your support with these decisions, and we will continue to communicate with you regularly to keep you informed of any changes. Meanwhile, ETC is extremely proud to show all initiatives from its members during these times of crisis: discover all of them below!
