Croatian National Theatre takes audiences on a thrilling journey at the premiere of 'Enigma Variations' on 5 March!
Director Neva Rošić brings to the stage French writer and dramatist Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s suspenseful story linking a writer and a journalist to a mysterious woman.
This captivating drama draws its name from Edward Elgar's Variations on an Original Theme, a piece of music that, according to the composer, contains an enigmatic melody that can never be fully grasped. The story follows two men whose conflict represents a clash of two distinct outlooks on life, art, romance, and the mundane.
