The European Theatre Convention (ETC) is delighted to launch a new round of Development Grants as part of our Sustainable Theatre programme, supporting pioneering international co-creations that champion sustainability and apply the principles of the ETC Theatre Green Book.
This season, ETC awards two development grants of €4,500 each to support collaborative artistic projects between three ETC Member Theatres. The funding is intended to kick-start innovative partnerships and foster experimentation around ecological practices and green transformation in theatre-making.
Projects should focus on developing new artistic narratives and collaboration models that contribute to:
- Sustainable theatre practices aligned with the ETC Theatre Green Book
- Theatres' environmental responsibility and greening efforts
- Bold and experimental approaches to co-creation and international exchange
These grants are designed to support early-stage development, encouraging innovation and trial-and-error. Unfinished or exploratory projects are welcome – the emphasis is on process over product.
