De Mary para Mary

Centro Cultural de Belém

27 - 29 October 2023

Mary Wollstonecraft (1759-1797) was seriously ill following the birth of her daughter Mary. In the delirium provoked by the fever, Wollstonecraft believes she is lecturing at a conference for an audience. Her only audience is her newborn daughter, who, years later, would become the writer Mary Shelley, author of the classic Frankenstein. Frankenstein's Grandmother would die a few days after giving birth. It is in this preamble that 'De Mary para Mary' begins.
