Five boys represent a microcosm of society. There are angels and devils inside each of them: they can be evil one moment and perfectly innocent the next. They carry in themselves the potential to change the world and, at the same time, they already live their predestined fates. But the future is far away; the present is so intense it hurts. This text decisively condemns all intolerances and fascistic tendencies in contemporary society but does so without moralising. The meanings of the words are open to interpretation. We can play with them and see that even the worst things we experience in our lives can be transformed into a game. That’s one of the most powerful things theatre can offer. It’s all about boys playing games. About creating an imaginary world where anything is possible, if only temporarily. In this creative process, we float in the imagination of our childhoods. Our dreams and memories become the performance itself. There’s an inner child in every human being. And guess what? They are all actors.
