Theater and Music Center - Kardzhali has been selected to perform at the most significant festival for innovative playwriting in the country.

"Children of the World" by Stefan Tsanev was selected for participation in May at The New Bulgarian Drama Festival in Shumen.

In addition, the documentary film attached to the performance, "Children of the World - Theater Today", funded by the ETC Digital Theatre Grants programme, has been selected to participate in the art festival "Pocket Format" - Sofia.

Success in 2022

2022 began with two premieres for its youngest viewers - "Safe Tale", directed by Galab Bochukov, and "Working Mezzanine", directed by Teodora Popova.

The premiere of "Akide" by Turkish actor, director and playwright Ali Meric took place on April 6, on the stage of Theatre and Music Centre Kardzhali. The show was performed in Turkish and received very warmly by the audience.

At the invitation of the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in March, the play "Arshin Mal Alan" successfully visited Sofia. The director is the chief director of the State Academic Opera and Ballet of Azerbaijan, Hafez Guliyev. The director of the Bulgarian version of the musical comedy is Galab Bochukov.

Apart from the Kardzhali stage, the theatre's shows will be performed on tours all over Bulgaria.
