NT Greece is Looking for Host Theatres for Residencies

National Theatre of Greece

Deadline: 15 January 2024

The National Theatre of Greece is inaugurating a new grant for emerging theatre artists. Three residencies are going to be provided to three Greek Artists (playwrights, directors, dramaturgs are eligible to apply) for them to gain experience, develop their practices, expand their research, widen their spheres of interest, become acquainted with new methods and meet and work with artists from significant European theatres.

The Residency Programme offers placements of 75 days that can be divided – if necessary - into a maximum of two periods.

The residencies can take place from March to July 2024. All expenses are covered by the National Theatre of Greece (round trip between Greece and the city of the hosting institution, accommodation, per diems and a fee).

The hosting theatre needs only to provide a hospitable work environment, workspace, and colleagues that will welcome the artists and the opportunity to collaborate with them. The Residency Programme is a scholarship that supports international cooperation.

If you are interested in hosting one of the Greek artists please specify the faculty you prefer and the period that is most convenient to you. You will then be provided with the applications of the candidates and your theatre will finally select the resident artist that best fits your team.
