Free Online Performances Continue at THOC

Richard III by William Shakespeare

10 12 April 2020

THOC (Cyprus) during the coronavirus outbreak

Following the warm response to the two initial free online productions by THOC for all the family (nearly 9.000 visits for the Girl who insists and Kali-Kantzar & Co!) the organisation’s online activity continues, this time with a performance for grown-up audiences: Richard III by William Shakespeare, directed by Paris Erotocritou with Prokopis Agathokleous in the lead role, which won him the THOC Theatre Award 2019 for New Artists.

A modern and particularly bold reading of Shakespeare’s classical masterpiece, with an ensemble of excellent actors, a production that has evoked enthusiastic response and productive reflection concerning enduring issues and the power of the language of the great Elizabethan poet.

Do not miss this unique opportunity to become acquainted with the charming “villain” of world theatre, from Friday 10 till Sunday 12 April. Visit THOC website or visit the youtube channel THOC Cyprus.

THOC would like once again to warmly thank the creative team of the production, who have given their concent for its free online screening for theatre audiences. We would furthermore like to remind audiences that THOC will continue to offer productions online throughout this difficult period for the country and for all humanity, hoping that very soon we will be able to welcome audiences in theatre’s natural environment, where theatre lives and breaths: on stage.
