The Secret Supper Of Deacon Levski

Theatre and Music Centre Kardjali

The premiere of 'The Secret Supper of Deacon Levski' by Stephan Tzanev marks a significant milestone for TMC - Kardjali.

This performance is directed and produced by Gulab Bochukov, who is celebrating 60 years of personal jubilee and 40 years on stage, along with set designer Tomiana Tomova-Nacheva, commemorating 60 years of career. Additionally, Atanas Atanasov takes on a leading role, boasting 20 years of stage experience, while Georgi Alexiev makes his professional stage debut with the theatre troupe.

"In this performance, the audience will try to find an answer to the questions about betrayal, about ideals, about the price of freedom. Historical titles have always been present in the repertoire of the Kardjali Theatre and will continue to be present, because they enjoy good audience interest. History shows us which we are, and knowing this, we will also learn from the mistakes made in the past. We would like to share that the scenography and costumes are composed of 60% recycled materials, as well as reused and reusable materials from previous performances of the theatre in accordance with the ETC Theatre Green Book," shared director Gulab Bochukov.
