February Premiere: ‘Mistério Da Vinci’ (The Da Vinci Mystery)
The company kicks off its February schedule with the premiere of 'Mistério Da Vinci' (The Da Vinci Mystery), its 173rd creation. Directed by Adriel Filipe in his directorial debut, this production is specifically designed to stimulate imagination and curiosity in young audiences.
- Impact: The production is set to welcome 5,000 children from kindergarten and primary schools throughout the region.
- The Narrative: The play challenges audiences to solve a mystery surrounding the life of the ultimate polymath: "Scientist, mathematician, engineer... Who invented so many things? To find out, you'll have to unravel this mystery!".
- Schedule: Staged in the Main Hall of the Sá de Miranda Municipal Theatre from February 10 to March 7. School sessions run Tuesday through Friday (09:30 and 11:00), with family sessions on Saturdays (16:00/17:00).
- Cast: Features performers Alexandre Calçada, Luís Bonito, Ricardo Ribeiro.
35th Anniversary Highlight: ‘Comédia de Enganos’ (Comedy of Errors)
In March, rehearsals intensify for the company's 35th-anniversary celebration show, Comédia de Enganos'. This 174th creation, written and directed by Artistic Director Ricardo Simões, offers a meta-theatrical take on Shakespeare’s first comedy.
- The Concept: The production brings together the current resident ensemble and founding actors, many of whom are now seniors. The narrative mirrors reality, depicting the "errors" and tensions in the backstage area as younger actors clash with the classic approach of the veterans, eventually celebrating the company's past, present, and future.
- Premiere: The show opens on March 27, World Theatre Day, and runs until April 19 at the Sá de Miranda Municipal Theatre.
- Cast: A large ensemble including Adriel Filipe, Alexandre Calçada, Armanda Santos, Elisabete Pinto, Filomena Mouta, José Escaleira, Nuno J. Loureiro, Rafaela Sá, Ricardo Ribeiro, Tiago Fernandes, Tomás Gonçalves.
World Theatre Day: A Global Message in Portuguese

The message will be read publicly in the Main Hall on the evening of March 27, immediately preceding the premiere of Comédia de Enganos.
