Ki Culture Sustainability Training Programme
19 January - 27 April 2022. Expected time committment: 3-4 hours per week (this can be shared between multiple members of staff)
This intensive pilot programme is an opportunity for 10 - 15 ETC member theatres to join a global effort to use culture to drive sustainable change in their organisations and communities.
Ki Culture has run a similar programme in the museum sector with major organisations including The Smithsonian (Washington), Museo Moderno (Buenos Aires), Deutsches Museum (Munich), and the National Museum Lagos (Lagos).
The ETC pilot will support policy creation to reduce carbon footprint; decolonise institutions and practices; create inclusive and accessible spaces; and work towards sector-wide circular solutions and implementation.
It will be coached by renowned circular economy consultant Thierry Leonardi and include:
- a self-assessment period
- tailored meetings for each member theatre with a Ki Coach,
- 4x 'Core trainings'
- 3x Speciality 'deep dive' trainings
- Regular meetings with all ETC participants
Each theatre can select multiple 'champions' to be involved in the project who can split the time commitments between them - and link in with the global 'Ki Champions' network.
More information is available in the documents below and on the kiculture website.
Costs per theatre for the entire course are 500 EUR and are covered by ETC’s TRANSFORMATION programme. Register before 15 December in expressing your interest by email to Heidi Wiley hwiley@europeantheatre.eu. Places are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
