Georgian Theatre Showcase 2024

Tbilisi International Festival of Theatre

24 - 29 September 2024

The Georgian Theatre Showcase of the Tbilisi International Festival of Theatre will take place from September 24 to September 29 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The main concept of the GEORGIAN THEATRE SHOWCASE PROGRAM is to introduce and showcase the vibrant world of Georgian theatre to the international community of professionals.

The GEORGIAN SHOWCASE is one of the most important platforms in Theatre Culture for international exchange: for numerous Georgian companies and artists, it is an opportunity to build new relationships, create co-productions, tour, and exchange artists; while for international guests, it is a discovery of new possibilities for their programming and future plans.

Georgian Showcase Programme 2024 consists of Main and Off programmes. The programme unites classic, modern, and experimental theatre, new writing, movement and physical theatre - providing new experiences and creative forms of making theatre.

All performances are from the 2023-2024 season or are First Night Shows specially for the Showcase. Performances are supported with English subtitles and have short introductions by theatre critics.

The schedule is usually busy but there are great possibilities to meet theatre makers; discuss ideas and discover great works and artists again and again.

The GEORGIAN THEATRE SHOWCASE provides the following conditions for International guests:

• Accommodation during the stay in Tbilisi
• In-country travel
• Free Access to all performances of Georgian Showcase
• Assistance of the Festival volunteers throughout the Showcase dates

Additionally, there will be beautiful autumn evenings with great Georgian wine and a free, relaxing atmosphere with guests and artists.
