ACuTE: Culture Testbeds for Performing Arts and New Technology
A Transdisciplinary Digital Theatre Project co-funded by the European UnionPresentation & Focus Group Session with ETC Member Theatres
ACuTe is a new EU-funded project with 14 organisations (including ETC & 8 ETC Member Theatres) that aims to innovate and manifest production processes in the field of digital theater based on experiences from other sectors in a transdisciplinary way and with the help of design thinking and co-creation. It will lead to the testing and prototyping of new technologies under the three key project themes: new dramaturgies, stage design and audience engagement. This November, ACuTe starts with the first design thinking research phase (Emphasize, Define, Ideate...) that, over the course of the next 3 seasons, will lead to prototyping and testing experimental productions in 9 theaters and performing arts organisations across Europe, collaborating with universities, media artists and technology experts.
With this ETC conference session we will present ACuTe to the entire ETC Membership, and involve partners on site in a first focus group session, kicking off the transdisciplinary Empathy phase.
