The second DoSEL International Showcase, hosted by the National Agency for the Performing Arts Malta and Teatru Malta in Valletta, builds on the artistic, organisational, and discursive framework established during the 2025 Showcase in Kranj and the Satellite Conference in Ljubljana. In Malta, the programme centres on performances at the Manoel Theatre while also offering dramaturgical laboratories, artistic residencies, public talks, research presentations, and consortium meetings.
This showcase highlights translation as a living artistic practice, creating opportunities for meaningful encounters between playwrights, translators, dramaturgs, performers, researchers, and audiences. The programme blends artistic presentation with professional exchange and audience engagement, fostering lasting connections with Malta’s vibrant writing and theatre community.
At the Malta International Showcase, four performances will be presented by partners from Malta, Slovenia, Croatia, and Estonia, all performed in their original languages with English surtitles.
