The 5th edition of our flagship and award-winning project Young Europe, officially launched during a kick-off meeting at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, Germany (17-18 September 2025).
Nine playwrights from nine ETC Member Theatres, as well as dramaturgs and project managers, met in person for the first time to get to know each other, exchange perspectives in creative workshops, and brainstorm and reflect on the concept of a 'dramaturgy of care.'
'Young Europe V: Life Stories' will explore new, care-driven dramaturgies: a new system that centres care, for each other and for the environment, also asks for a different kind of story.
This meeting marked an inspiring start, with playwrights leaving inspired and motivated to get started on writing their plays!
