ETC Executive Director Heidi Wiley joined fellow pan-European cultural networks at the European Parliament for the high-level roundtable “Culture in the Next EU Budget”.
The roundtable took place after the 16 July 2025 proposal presented by the European Commission, for a Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) amounting to almost EUR 2 trillion, and ahead of negotiations with the Council this autumn.
This exchange allowed cultural organisations to highlight the sector’s needs and priorities, and to call for strong, sustainable investment in culture that will ensure Europe’s theatres and cultural institutions can continue to innovate, collaborate, and connect communities across borders.
