The play Rottweiler vs Chihuahua, directed by Elisabete Pinto, is on stage until 26 January in the Main Hall of the Sá de Miranda Municipal Theatre in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
Already sold out for Thursday 23 February, the play will be performed on Friday at 9pm, Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 4pm, in a show full of tension and excellent performances, with Alexandre Calçada, Adriel Filipe, Marta Bonito and Ricardo Ribeiro in the roles of a journalist, a radical nationalist, a social researcher and a video technician who debate the violence of today's world live on the internet, in a plot that ends in a totally unexpected way.
‘Rottweiler Vs Chihuahua’ is an unpublished text by Guillermo Heras, with a translation by Tiago Fernandes, a version by Ricardo Simões, staging, dramaturgy and co-creation by Elisabete Pinto, sound design by José Prata and lighting design by Nuno Almeida, which opened the 2024 Viana do Castelo Theatre Festival and has already been presented at the Montemuro Theatre, and will continue to tour nationally and internationally until the end of 2026.
Rated for ages 14 and over and lasting approximately 60 minutes, tickets are available at tmsm.pt, bol.pt and at the box office of the Sá de Miranda Municipal Theatre in Viana do Castelo.
