Community Participation: The Regular Theatre Workshops
The Regular Theatre Workshops 2025/2026 season reaches its peak this month with the public performance of ‘O Coro dos Presentes’ (The Choir of Presents):
A Decade of Impact: This community project was established more than a decade ago; for instance, the ATIVAsénior group was founded in early 2012;
Broad Participation: Every year, the workshops bring together around 100 participants from various age groups, including ATIVAkids (ages 6–12), ATIVAjúnior (ages 12–18), ATIVAtodos (ages 18–60), and ATIVAsénior (ages 60+);
Weekly Commitment: Members meet for weekly sessions every Wednesday throughout the season to explore theatrical practice and artistic participation;
The final exercise, directed by Ricardo Simões and inspired in the work of Tiago Rodrigues, will take place on July 3rd at 9:30 PM in the Main Hall.

Social Inclusion: CAPACITEATRO International Conference
On July 20th, the Company will host the CAPACITEATRO International Conference in the Sá de Miranda Municipal Theatre. This initiative is a central part of the pioneer CAPACITEATRO project, a 24-month program developed in partnership with the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Minho (CIM Alto Minho) that travels across 10 municipalities.
- The project focuses on empowering educational, social, and cultural agents with dramatic and communicative expression skills;
- By providing these tools, CAPACITEATRO aims to support those working with vulnerable communities, such as the elderly in isolation, immigrants, youth at risk, and people with disabilities, utilizing theatre as a fundamental instrument for social change.
