TBILISI INTERNATIONAL was founded in 2009 with the mission to popularize Tbilisi, its culture and its unique creative and cherishing atmosphere.
The Festival runs every year by the end of September, beginning of October and is one of the major events in International life of Georgia. But not only - it is becoming one of the main performing arts events in Caucasia, attracting attention of the most well-known, creative, provocative and innovative theater productions from the world, a meeting point of Europe and Asia.
Since the foundation the festival established 2 integral parts of the edition: Main – International Program, which presents very best productions of performing arts disciplines from the world to the local audience. The Georgian Showcase presents latest local productions from the last season to the international guests, such as producers, buyers, critics and journalists. The third part – Program NEW came after the decision to explore newcomers, not known international companies and give the chance to perform on international scene, attract attention for touring and collaboration.
The fourth part – Master classes, Workshops, Exhibitions, Professional Developments Sessions, Education and Research, based on innovate learning by combining arts and technology trough lectures, intensive trainings, seminars, practical workshop by very best local/international Experts.
