The Opera Theatre of Tunis is a public establishment with non-administrative character of cultural action located within the City of the Culture Chedli Klibi, Tunis/Tunisia.
This institution, under the supervision of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Tunisia, has legal personality and financial and administrative autonomy.
The Opera Theatre of Tunis has three artistic department poles: Music and Opera; Ballet and Choreography; and Theatre and Performing. It houses and manages the Opera Ballet of Tunis, the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra, the Tunisian National Orchestra of Arab Music, and the National Troupe of Popular Arts.
Within the Opera Theatre of Tunis, we can find: the Opera Theatre with a capacity of 1650 seats, the Theatre of Regions with 650 seats, the Theatre of Young Creators, a modular hall with 260 seats, and rehearsal spaces, production and archiving that align with international technical standards.
The mission of the Opera Theatre of Tunis is to:
